Joshua Russell
Personal Profile
Hi! My name's Josh, and I'm an independent videographer and editor located in Phoenix, Arizona. My interest in filming began when I was only 14 years old, fresh into high school. I was heavily inspired by various filmmakers I followed on YouTube, such as JR Alli and Matt Komo. I started using my iPhone and a GoPro camera to record, using iMovie as my editing software. Through trial and error, I've been able to build my skills over the years through hands-on experience, improve my equipment, and eventually develop my own personal cinematic style. As a self-taught videographer and editor, I'm extremely passionate about my work, and I always strive to create the best product I can for every opportunity I get to shoot for somebody. Whether it’s a wedding, a music video, or a creative concept, I’m committed to delivering work that not only looks good, but feels authentic to you.

Civil Engineering
I attended a magnet high school that offered a specialized curriculum in civil engineering with introductory courses in basic physics, construction, and industry-standard software such as Revit or Solidworks. An architectural design course I took during my junior year was the turning point, as I was able to secure a summer internship with a local architecture firm and begin to pursue my degree the following year.
