In my design-build course, I gained hands-on experience with various construction and design tasks, expanding both my technical skills and problem-solving abilities. I installed steel sheets to the underside of a roof overhang, learning precision and the importance of structural durability. I designed and built custom built-in cabinets for the bedrooms, which enhanced my woodworking and design skills. By laying concrete for a bathroom shower, I developed a better understanding of material handling and the intricacies of working with concrete. Additionally, I designed and built a steel wire channel for HVAC wiring, improving my metalworking skills and learning how to create functional yet aesthetic solutions. Each task taught me the value of teamwork, attention to detail, and the importance of blending design with practicality.
