FRACTURE Performing Arts Facility

Client:

CAPLA

Year:

2022

The FRACTURE Performing Arts Facility is located in the Northeastern region of Old Bisbee, Arizona. The project is designed to provide a platform for local musicians and dancers to practice and perform in front of a gathered audience. Unlike many other venues, the environment is much more casual, as people are allowed to stop and watch for a short moment as they circulate within, just as people may stop to watch street performers in the city. Grand revolving doors allow for the inner corridor to open to the public and allow music to flow within the concrete shell that keeps everything enclosed. A crack runs through the center of the corridor in order to allow sunlight to shine into the enclosure. The crack is meant to emulate the cracked concrete throughout the town of Bisbee and represents a new spirit that’ll be reborn with this project. The FRACTURE Performing Arts Facility strives to build a community of local artists and attract visitors to watch.
